Hot Shot Delivery in Kansas City
One load, one driver, straight to where it is needed. Truck and semi parts first. Since 2008.
What it is
Hot shot delivery, plainly
Hot shot delivery means a part or load gets picked up and driven straight to where it is going. It does not wait for a freight terminal, it does not ride along with other stops, and it does not sit on a dock overnight. One pickup, one drop.
It is van- and truck-sized rush freight. We do not pull trailers.
JG Delivery has run business deliveries out of Kansas City since 2008. Most of what we move is trucking-industry parts: semi and heavy-truck parts, then vehicle parts and construction-equipment parts. When a truck is down or a job site is waiting, the part needs to show up today, not in two days on a freight truck.
We are a delivery company. We pick up what you already bought and take it where it needs to go. We do not sell parts, and we do not do repairs.
Hot shot vs. courier
How it differs from a regular courier run
A regular courier run inside the metro is usually small and local: a box of parts across town, a set of documents, a pickup on a route we already run every day. That is our rush delivery and same-day delivery work, and our fixed daily routes.
Hot shot is the same idea stretched over more distance and more urgency. The load is going farther, often out of the metro, and it goes direct. Nothing else is added to the run once it leaves.
Compared with LTL freight, the trade is simple. LTL is cheaper per pound when time does not matter. Hot shot costs more per trip because the vehicle is yours for that run, but the part arrives the same day instead of after a terminal transfer.
How far
Across Missouri and Kansas
We run hot shot loads from the Kansas City metro across Missouri and Kansas, out to roughly a 400-mile radius. Inside the metro, rush runs of 0–30 miles are typically 60–90 minutes. Longer runs depend on distance, traffic, and weather, so we give you a time when you call, not before.
Common directions out of KC include I-70 east toward Columbia and St. Louis, I-70 west across Kansas, I-35 southwest toward Emporia and Wichita, I-35 north, and US-71/I-49 south toward Joplin. If your destination is inside roughly 400 miles in Missouri or Kansas, call and ask.
Use cases
When people call for a hot shot
Breakdowns. A tractor or straight truck is down on a route or at a customer site, and the part is in Kansas City. We pick it up from the dealer or parts house and drive it to the shop or the truck.
Shop-to-shop transfers. A dealer or repair shop has the part at another location. We move it between locations so the bay does not sit empty.
Construction equipment. A machine on a job site needs a hydraulic part, a filter kit, or a component from a dealer, and the crew is waiting on it.
Vehicle parts. Dealers, collision shops, and parts stores that need a part moved farther than a normal local run.

How to book
Call first
For hot shot, the fastest way is a phone call. Tell us the pickup, the drop, what the part is, and roughly how big and heavy it is. We will tell you if we can take it and when it can get there.
